You can Register and Schedule your ACT Online using a credit card. You must establish a free student Web account in order to register. After providing the information requested to create the account, click the "Register to Test" link and follow the instructions on the Web screens to complete your registration. Payment must be made by valid credit card. |
Stadby Registration |
If you missed the final registration deadline for your test date, you can try to test as a standby on the test day. Testing as a standby costs $41.00 in addition to the basic fee for your test option. (Students testing outside the United States, U.S. territories, Puerto Rico or Canada are also billed the $26.00 international surcharge).
- Admission is not guaranteed.
- Test center schedules are subject to change.
- Test centers admit standbys on a first-come, first-admitted basis and only if there are seats, materials, and staff available after all registered students have been admitted for their test option.
- Because advance arrangements are required, students requiring accommodations due to a disability cannot test as standbys.
- You will not be able to add, change, or cancel score reports.
- If you are admitted and begin testing (break the seal of the test booklet), you will be billed for all fees even if you do not complete all your tests.
- If you are trying to test standby for a Sunday or Monday test center, you must bring a letter from your cleric or a notarized statement to verify your religious beliefs prohibit Saturday testing. You will not be admitted without it.

Scores & Score Reports
Viewing Scores
Viewing scores from National or International testing is available only through your student Web account. If you do not yet have an account, you will need to create one. If your scores are not available on the first date listed for your test date, plan to check back weekly. Scores are processed and added each week, usually each Wednesday and Friday. Normally, all scores are reported by 8 weeks after the test date. If you took the ACT Plus Writing, your Writing scores will be posted as soon as they are ready, normally about 2 weeks after your multiple-choice scores. Your scores cannot be officially reported until after your Writing scores have been added.
Send Your Scores to Others
You can have your ACT scores sent to other colleges and scholarship agencies after you test in addition to the ones you selected when you registered. Requests are processed AFTER your tests have been scored and all scores for your test option have been added to our computer files.
A complete report that's processed within one week after your request is received. ACT delivers these to colleges and agencies you've selected depending on their preferred schedul, at least every two weeks.

Disability Services
ACT has established policies regarding documentation of an applicant's disability and the process for requesting accommodations. For details, see ACT Policy for Documentation (http://www.act.org/aap/disab/policy.html) to Support Requests for Test Accommodations on the ACT.
If you currently receive accommodations in school due to a professionally diagnosed and documented disability, you may provide documentation to support a request for one of the following:
- Center Testing #1: Standard Time National Testing with Accommodations
- Center Testing #2: Extended Time National Testing (50% more time). If approved, you will be allowed up to 5 hours total to work on all four multiple-choice tests at your own pace, including breaks between tests. If you are taking the ACT Plus Writing, you will be allowed up to 5 hours and 45 minutes total.
- Special Testing: Testing at school with extended time and alternate formats available--not as part of national or international testing at a test center.
The basic fees for all forms of testing are the same. Read the information about each to determine which one to choose and follow that application process carefully. If you have already been approved for Extended Time National Testing, you may request a test date change or re-register.
The ACT and ACT Plus Writing are offered only in English. Accommodations (including extended time) are not available solely on the basis of limited English proficiency.
