SCHS Exam

Important: The examinee must present one form of non-expired, government-issued, photo- and signature-bearing Primary ID in order to test. The Primary ID presented should be in English characters; however, the signature does not have to be in English. If the Primary ID does not contain either a photo or signature, the examinee must present a form of Secondary ID bearing the missing signature or photo. Acceptable forms of Primary ID include: Driver's license, Current passport, CNIC, Military ID and Photo Government / Country ID. Acceptable forms of Secondary ID include: Credit card, Bank (ATM) card, Employee ID.

By taking this exam, the Saudi Commission is able to assess your ability in your chosen medical specialty. If you reach the required standard, this could facilitate your visa application to work within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The SCHS has helped to establish modern, state-of-the-art healthcare institutions and has succeeded in attracting a well-qualified, diversified spectrum of personnel. With these recognized and accredited facilities, the Saudi physician can pursue training in all different medical specialties. Cognizant of the importance of an independent Saudi body that can prepare and supervise training programs and assesses trainees, the SCHS is tasked with formulating proper standards and criteria for practicing and developing the health professions.

The purpose of the exam is for you to demonstrate that you have reached the standard as required by the SCFHS.

Note: The examinee must call the RCC at least five calendar days prior to his/her preferred test date or schedule an appointment via the web at least three calendar days prior to the preferred test date.

Determining an appointment of Exam within Saudi Arabia :

For determining an appointment of Exam, the following information shall be provided:

1. Eligibility file No for examinees within the Kingdom only.
2. Email Address – for obtaining reservation number for the date of examination that will be provided to the official in charge of examination centre or to be used in cancelling the examination at any time if desired.
3. Credit card – Pass word
4. Telephone numbers – If there are any technical problem, the company can contact you.

Steps for determining date of examination within and outside Saudi Arabia:

In order to schedule online, you must provide an e-mail address and your national ID or passport number. Prometric will send you an e-mail confirming your appointment. If you do not have an e-mail address, please call your Prometric Regional Contact Center.

1. visit Thomson Prometric Co. on the website: www.securereg3.prometric.com
2. Go to For Test Taker and select All from drop down menu
3. From menu choose test program select program Saudi Commission for health specialties then press icon Go.
4. Select Schedule, Reschedule from home page
5. From Program name select Saudi Commission for health specialties for examinees within the Kingdom, and Saudi Commission for health specialties for examinees outside the Kingdom.

Note: It is necessary to keep the reservation number for reserving date of examination to be provided to the supervisor of Examination centre on the day of examination so that you can be admitted for examination

Exam Fee If testing within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, you will need to obtain an eligibility number from SCFHS to be able to take the test and the cost of the exam is $80. If you wish to test outside the Kingdom, no eligibility number is required and the cost of the exam will vary depending on where you test. The fee for the test in Pakistan is $90. Acceptable Method of payment shall include American Express, Master Card, Visa Card (Credit Card amount is the actual payment of the amount)

if you wish to change your exam date or time, you must do so by the third calendar day prior to your appointment using the Reschedule/Cancel option on this Web site or by calling your Prometric Regional Contact Center (+603-7628-3333). There is no charge for changing an appointment. Please note that you may only take the same exam three times within one calendar year.

Should you need to cancel your exam, you can either call the Prometric Regional Contact Center or visit www.prometric.com at least three full calendar days before your appointment. If you paid Prometric directly with a credit card, please request a refund and this will be arranged for you. If your registration was made for you, you need to contact that party and arrange a refund directly with them

Note: Late cancel/ no-shows forfeit all testing fees.

Test Retakes:

If testing within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, your eligibility to take the exam lasts for three months and during this time, you are entitled to take the exam twice. If your three-month period has expired, you must re contact SCFHS at http://Eng.scfhs.org to have your eligibility period extended.

If testing outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, you may take the same exam three times in one calendar year. The examinee must re-register with SCHS to obtain a new eligibility number and then repay test fees in order to make a new appointment to test.

Special Accommodations:

There will be no SCHS examinees requiring special accommodations.
