Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence
Program: Academic study of Islam

Program Summary
This Program will support one academic year (Aug. 14, 2006 -
May 18, 2007) in residence at St. Lawrence University in
New York. The Scholar-in-Residence will teach about
contemporary religious debates and movements within Islam
and about the relationships between Islam and other world
religions and global movements.

Qualifications
- PhD in the academic study of Islam
- Teaching experience (2 years minimum)
- Proficiency in English
- Pakistani citizenship and resident in Pakistan.
Preference is given to individuals who have not previously had
a Fulbright grant. U.S. citizens or permanent residents are not
eligible. Individuals who have had extensive and prolonged
activities in the U.S. during the past five years are also
ineligible.
